On the afternoon of October 27^th, the 4th Shannxi Staff Science and Technology Festival was held in Xi'an Greenland Pico International Convention and Exhibition Center. Prof. Feng Xu from BEBC was titled as ‘Shannxi Outstanding Staff of Innovation and Entrepreneur’ in this festival. The secretary of the party committee of the provincial general trade union and the chairman of the party committee, Bai Aying, attended the award ceremony and presented the prizes to the winners.

   Feng Xu, Professor, Ph. D. supervisor, Vice President of School of Life Science and Technology, Xi 'an Jiaotong university. Prof. Xu was selected into “Project of Thousand Youth Talents”, “Project of Hundred Talents” of Shaanxi province in 2012. And also the selected into the project of "Outstanding Talent of the New Century" which was supported by the ministry of education. Following the academic thoughts of "Basic theory of mechanics - Biotechnology research - Application and popularization", Prof. Xu has been committed to the research of bio-tissue thermo- mechanical-electric coupling analysis, cellular thermal-machanical-electric micro environment engineering and real-time diagnosis technology based on biological microfluidics. And he had published more than 100 journal papers as the first/ Corresponding author in the International Journal of Prog. Mater. Sci. , Adv. Mater. , ACS Nano. , Adv. Funct. Mater. ,etc. The total impact factor of his paper are more than 1030. And his published papers were cited more than 5000 times, citing index factor H=33, 9 papers were selected ESI highly cited papers, 1 papers were selected ESI hotspot thesis. He was also authorized more than 20 patents.

       Shannxi Staff Science and Technology Festival was set up by Shannxi Province Federation of Trade Unions and government, which held every two years since 2010. This activity aims at promoting the communication of innovative achievements, expanding the spirit of craftsman, encouraging talents to show their intelligence, inspiring staff to catch up with powerful competitors. There are mainly 4 evaluation systems including: the Craftsman, the Craftsman of Sanqin,  Staff (model worker) Innovation Studio and Outstanding Staff of Innovation and Entrepreneur. The participants were add up to more than 1200,000, and 10 people won the Outstanding Staff of Innovation and Entrepreneur awards in total.
